Indeed, you can preload Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but the preloading option will only become available from midnight on Feb. 27, two days prior to the release date.
Having two days to initiate the download is essential due to the massive file size. According to size-tracking Twitter profile PlayStation Game Size, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will weigh in at a hefty 150GB, necessitating ample time for download, to say the least. Make sure to clear out space on your PlayStation 5 drive before the 27th to accommodate Rebirth.
How to Preload Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Upon purchasing the game and selecting your preferred edition, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will appear on your PlayStation 5 dashboard. Once the preload becomes available on Feb. 27, simply navigate to your dashboard and commence the download process. This will allow you some leeway to manage the extensive file size.
It’s important to note that preloading is exclusive to digital preorders. If you’ve already preordered a physical copy of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, unfortunately, you won’t have the option to preload it before its release. Apologies to physical copy enthusiasts.
